Electrical Engineer

Key Responsibilities:

  • Project Planning and Design:
  • Lead the electrical design and engineering efforts for specific projects, ensuring alignment with project requirements, budgets, and timelines.
  • Prepare detailed electrical specifications, diagrams, and schematics for project deliverables.
  • Coordinate with clients, stakeholders, and other engineering teams (e.g., mechanical, civil) to understand project requirements and constraints.
  • Develop and maintain electrical system designs, including load calculations, power distribution, lighting, and control systems.
  • Project Management:
  • Oversee and manage all electrical aspects of the project lifecycle, from initial design through construction and commissioning.
  • Create and maintain project schedules, tracking milestones, and ensuring that deadlines are met.
  • Manage project budgets, ensuring that the electrical engineering portion of the project stays within financial constraints.
  • Review and approve electrical project deliverables, including designs, drawings, and specifications.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for all electrical engineering-related project matters.
  • Team Coordination:
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including project managers, construction managers, and other engineers to ensure that electrical designs integrate seamlessly with other aspects of the project.
  • Supervise and provide guidance to junior engineers or electrical technicians during the execution of the project.
  • Ensure effective communication between the design and construction teams.
  • Compliance and Safety:
  • Ensure electrical systems and designs comply with local, national, and international codes and standards (e.g., NEC, IEC, NFPA).
  • Oversee safety protocols, ensuring that all electrical installations and systems meet safety standards and best practices.
  • Perform risk assessments and mitigate potential safety hazards related to electrical systems during the project’s execution phase.
  • Procurement and Vendor Management:
  • Oversee the selection and procurement of electrical equipment and materials needed for the project.
  • Coordinate with suppliers and vendors to ensure that the necessary components meet project specifications, quality standards, and delivery timelines.
  • Review technical proposals and contracts to ensure that vendor products and services meet the required quality and specifications.
  • Testing and Commissioning:
  • Supervise the testing, commissioning, and startup of electrical systems, ensuring that all systems function correctly and meet operational specifications.
  • Address any design issues or discrepancies that arise during the installation phase.
  • Conduct inspections, audits, and troubleshooting to ensure quality control and optimal system performance.
  • Documentation and Reporting:
  • Maintain and manage accurate project documentation, including design records, specifications, change orders, and test results.
  • Prepare and present regular progress reports for stakeholders, providing updates on project milestones, issues, and risk management.
  • Troubleshooting and Problem-Solving:
  • Provide solutions to unexpected electrical problems or challenges encountered during the project lifecycle.
  • Troubleshoot any design issues or failures, collaborating with other engineers to implement effective solutions.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Education: A Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field is required.
  • Experience: Typically, at least 3–5 years of experience in electrical engineering.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
