TheElectrical Engineer will be responsible for planning, designing, and overseeing electrical systems in construction and infrastructure projects. The role involves reviewing electrical drawings, ensuring project compliance with standards, coordinating with consultants and contractors, and providing technical leadership throughout the project lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities:
Design & Engineering
- Develop, review, and approve electrical designs, drawings, schematics, and technical specifications.
- Prepare load schedules, single-line diagrams (SLD), cable sizing, and distribution layouts.
- Ensure compliance with relevant codes and standards (IEC, NEC, local authority regulations).
- Conduct feasibility studies and provide design solutions for complex engineering requirements.
Project Execution
- Oversee installation, testing, commissioning, and maintenance of electrical systems (LV, MV, ELV, lighting, power distribution, fire alarm, etc.).
- Coordinate with project teams, consultants, contractors, and suppliers to ensure work progress aligns with project timelines.
- Review and approve material submittals, method statements, and shop drawings.
- Resolve on-site technical issues and provide engineering support to the construction team.
Quality & Compliance
- Ensure all electrical installations meet safety and quality standards.
- Conduct inspections and audits to ensure compliance with project specifications.
- Prepare and maintain project documentation, reports, and progress updates.
Leadership & Coordination
- Lead junior engineers and supervise electrical site teams.
- Support project planning, scheduling, and resource allocation.
- Participate in client meetings and technical discussions.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
- Minimum 7–12 years of experience in electrical design and project execution.
- Strong knowledge of electrical systems for construction, MEP projects, and infrastructure.
- Proficient in AutoCAD, MS Office, and relevant engineering software.
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and leadership abilities.
- Strong understanding of industry standards, safety codes, and authority approval processes.
Preferred Experience:
- Experience in high-rise buildings, commercial, industrial, or infrastructure projects.
- Experience dealing with local authorities (DEWA/ADDC/SEWA, etc.) if applicable.
- Experience in handling both design and site execution phases.
Pay: AED5,000.00 - AED7,000.00 per month
