Electrical Engineer (Projects & Execution)

Role Overview

ACES is looking for a dynamic Electrical Engineer to lead project execution and technical supervision. You will bridge the gap between complex engineering designs and on-ground implementation. This role requires a "boots-on-the-ground" approach, ensuring that our electrical installations meet international safety standards and local KE (K-Electric) regulations.

Core Responsibilities

• Project Supervision: Oversee on-site electrical installations including HT/LT panels, transformer installations, internal wiring, and earthing systems.
• Technical Compliance: Ensure all works comply with project specifications, IEC standards, and Building Code of Pakistan (BCP).
• Team Leadership: Supervise site supervisors, technicians, and subcontractors to ensure timelines are met without compromising quality.
• Testing & Commissioning: Conduct pre-commissioning tests (Insulation resistance, Continuity, Earth pit testing) and prepare formal reports.
• Liaison: Coordinate with consultants, architects, and clients to resolve technical bottlenecks and provide progress updates.
• Safety (HSE): Enforce strict electrical safety protocols on-site to maintain a zero-incident environment.

Technical Requirements

• Education: Bachelor’s Degree (B.E./B.S.) in Electrical Engineering. PEC Registration is mandatory.
• Design Tools: Proficiency in AutoCAD (for shop drawings) and MS Office. Familiarity with ETAP or Dialux is a plus.
• Equipment Knowledge: Hands-on experience with Switchgear, VFDs, PLC troubleshooting, and Solar PV systems (on-grid/hybrid).
• Documentation: Ability to prepare Daily Progress Reports (DPR), Measurement Books (MB), and As-Built drawings.

Professional Attributes

• Local Experience: Proven track record of handling commercial or industrial projects within Karachi’s unique environment.
• Communication: Strong command of English and Urdu for effective reporting and vendor management.
• Problem Solving: A proactive mindset to fix site-level electrical faults or logistical delays.
