KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Designing and implementing cost-effective equipment modifications to help improve safety, reliability and throughput;
2. Establish and coordinate the maintenance procedures, service schedule, and supply of materials required to maintain machines and equipment in the prescribed condition;
3. Managing projects using engineering principles and techniques;
4. Planning and designing new production processes;
5. Ensure that the electric machineries have planned preventive maintenance and is capable of zero down-time operation;
6. Developing, testing and evaluating theoretical designs;
7. Discussing and solving complex problems with manufacturing departments, sub-contractors, suppliers and customers;
8. Producing details of specifications and outline designs;
9. Recommending modifications following prototype test results;
10. Using research, analytical, conceptual and planning skills, particularly mathematical modeling and computer-aided design;
11. Considering the implications of issues such as cost, safety and time constraints;
12. Monitoring and commissioning plant and systems;
13. Developing a project specification with concern departments, often including those from other engineering disciplines;
14. Fully aware and actively implement the departmental policies and procedures, all national and international accreditation standards or requirements related to the department.
15. Facilitate requirements of Utility Management System relevant to organization wide functions and processes.
16. Actively involves in indicator development, data collection for the department and to measure the performance of the function, process, and outcome. Whenever required, conducts analysis and interpretation of data/information collected.
17. Participate in hospital Safety Management & Risk Management Programs. Actively reports incidents in the system and whenever needed, participates in incident review, and root cause analysis.
