Job Title: Electrical Maintenance Engineer

Reports To: Plant Workshop Supervisor

Hours of Work: Between 7.00am – 4.00pm / Monday – Friday

Overtime hours may be required between 6am – 6pm / Monday – Saturday

Location: Newtown

Rate of Pay: Circa £35,000 - £45,000 (Dependent on experience, based on 40 hours basic pay)

G. Owen & Sons is looking to employ an experienced Electrical Maintenance Engineer on a full-time basis to join our workshop team. You will be required as part of the team to complete weekly maintenance schedules set by the company. Duties will be inclusive but not limited to: Preventive maintenance inspections, scheduled and unscheduled maintenance repairs and servicing of company manufacturing and packing equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

· Daily visual equipment checks for production line machinery.

· Conducting frequent quality checks on equipment to minimise production downtime.

· Investigating & rectifying machinery & equipment breakdowns.

· Keeping a record of preventive and emergency maintenance carried out.

· Ensuring the organisation complies with safety regulations while maintenance takes place.

· Assist with carrying out general building maintenance.

Requirements:

· Must be qualified to 18th Edition for the IEE Wiring Regulations BS 7671:2018 & ideally will hold the City & Guilds Inspection & Testing of Electrical Installations qualification.

· Experience of working in the manufacturing industry.

· Excellent diagnostic and problem-solving skills.

· Experience of control panel building & PLC programming desirable, but not essential as training can be provided.

· Ability to work under pressure.

· Excellent communication skills, including written, the ability to interact with suppliers and others.

· Flexible attitude towards working hours and work well within a team, or on their own.

· Full, clean driving licence.
