Electrical Officer

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:


• Conduct routine inspections, maintenance, and repairs of electrical systems, including generators, motors, switchboards, lighting, and power distribution.

• Maintain and troubleshoot electronic systems, including navigation equipment, communication devices, radar, GPS, and satellite communications.

• Monitor and manage automation systems such as engine control, alarm systems, and remote monitoring to ensure optimal performance.

• Ensure compliance with maritime regulations, class requirements, and industry standards.

• Respond promptly to emergencies like power failures, equipment malfunctions, and fire incidents.

• Maintain accurate maintenance records, inspections, and repair reports.

• Collaborate with the Chief Engineer and technical personnel to coordinate maintenance and optimize onboard systems.


QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIMENTS:


• Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Electrical or Electronics Engineering, or related field.

• ETO certification or relevant marine electrical training.

• 2–3+ years’ experience as an ETO onboard ship.

• Strong understanding of electrical, electronic, and automation systems used in marine vessels.

• Proficiency in English; knowledge of Arabic is a plus.
