Electrical Supervisor

Key Responsibilities

1. Team Leadership & Supervision

  • Work Allocation: Assign daily tasks to electricians and technicians based on priority and skill level.
  • Performance Management: Monitor the quality of work to ensure it meets company and industry standards.
  • Training: Mentor junior staff and provide on-the-job training for new equipment or safety protocols.

2. Maintenance Operations

  • PPM Scheduling: Implement and oversee the Preventive Maintenance schedule for all electrical assets (DBs, panels, transformers, etc.).
  • Reactive Repairs: Act as the first point of contact for emergency electrical failures, diagnosing root causes and directing quick resolutions.
  • Material Management: Estimate required materials for jobs, raise purchase requests, and manage the inventory of electrical spares.

3. Safety & Compliance

  • Standards: Ensure all work complies with the National Electrical Code (NEC) or local equivalent.
  • Safety Audits: Conduct regular site inspections to ensure the team is using proper PPE and following Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate logs of maintenance activities, testing results (e.g., Megger tests), and incident reports.

4. Client & Project Coordination

  • Site Surveys: Visit client sites to provide technical assessments and cost estimates for upgrades or repairs.
  • Reporting: Prepare weekly/monthly reports on equipment uptime and team productivity for the Maintenance Manager.
