Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor and support daily production operations across extrusion, stranding, armoring, and cabling lines
- Troubleshoot mechanical and process-related issues to minimize downtime
- Set up and adjust machine parameters (line speed, temperature, tension) for different cable types/sizes
- Conduct in-process quality checks and coordinate with QA/QC for product conformance
- Assist in new product trials and process development for new cable specifications
- Prepare and maintain process documentation, work instructions, and production reports
- Coordinate with maintenance team for equipment servicing and breakdown resolution
- Optimize raw material usage (copper/aluminum, PVC/XLPE compounds) to reduce wastage
- Support production planning and shift-wise output tracking
- Train and guide machine operators/technicians on correct process procedures
- Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and environmental standards on the floor
- Support internal/external audits (ISO, customer audits) with technical documentation
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Diploma/Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Production, or Electrical Engineering
- 6–8 years' hands-on experience in cable/wire manufacturing or similar process industry
- Strong knowledge of extrusion processes and cable construction (conductor, insulation, sheathing, armoring)
- Familiarity with production machinery (extruders, stranders, armoring/braiding machines)
- Good understanding of cable testing standards (IEC, BS, ASTM)
- Strong problem-solving and process troubleshooting skills
- Basic computer skills (MS Office, production reporting systems)
- Team handling/supervisory experience
