Electrical Technician – Fire Alarm Systems

About the Role:

We are seeking a qualified and experienced Electrical Technician with a strong background in Industrial Automation and Fire Alarm Systems, preferably from Power Plant or pumping station projects. This hands-on role involves installation, testing, and commissioning of electrical and automation systems, including field instrumentation.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in the installation, testing, and commissioning of electrical systems.
• Support SCADA system checks and protection relay coordination when needed.
• Troubleshoot electrical faults.
• Install, test, inspect, and maintain fire alarm systems (addressable and conventional).
• Carry out functional testing of:

- Smoke and heat detectors
- Manual call points
- Fire alarm control panels (FACP)
- Sounders, strobes, and beacons

• Perform routine preventive maintenance of fire alarm and fire suppression systems.
• Erection and installation of electrical panels, including:

- Switchgear
- RTU (Remote Terminal Units)
- DCDB (DC Distribution Board)
- ACDB (AC Distribution Board)

• Termination of power and control cables as per wiring diagrams.
• Modification of relay panels based on updated schematics or field requirements.
• Cable pulling, glanding, and dressing of LV/MV power and control cables.
• Installation of cable trays, cable ladders, and cable trunking systems.
• Installation of earthing conductors using copper tape and bonding to ensure system grounding compliance.
• Laying out and installing electrical conduit piping for lighting systems and general-purpose outlets.
• Welding and fitting of supports for:

- Fuel, water, CO₂ pipelines
- Other mechanical structures and light fabrication tasks.

Qualifications & Requirements:

✅Diploma or ITI in Electrical or Instrumentation.

✅ Minimum 3 years of experience in Industrial Automation & Fire Alarm Systems within the UAE.

✅ Experience in Power Plant or pumping station projects preferred.

✅ Strong knowledge of control panels, PLC systems, and instrumentation.

✅ Ability to read & interpret electrical schematics and technical drawings.

✅ Excellent troubleshooting & problem-solving skills.

✅ Willingness to work on-site across various UAE locations.
