Job Description:
As an Electrician, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems in residential, commercial, and hotel properties. Your role will involve ensuring that all electrical systems in the hotel are functioning safely, efficiently, and in compliance with relevant codes and regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Install, maintain, and repair electrical wiring, outlets, circuits, and lighting systems throughout the hotel property.
- Manage the installation, configuration, and maintenance of LT panels and associated systems, ensuring proper power distribution to hotel areas such as guest rooms, kitchens, and service areas.
- Diagnose and repair electrical issues in guest rooms, common areas, kitchens, and hotel infrastructure, minimizing downtime and disruption to hotel operations.
- Conduct regular inspections and testing of electrical systems in the hotel to ensure compliance with safety codes and regulations.
- Ensure all electrical installations and repairs meet local electrical codes and hotel industry safety standards.
- Respond to electrical emergencies, such as power outages, tripped circuits, and equipment malfunctions, to prevent service interruptions and ensure guest comfort.
- Assist in the hotel's preventive maintenance program, ensuring electrical systems are regularly serviced to avoid unexpected breakdowns.
- Install, maintain, and replace lighting fixtures in hotel rooms and public areas to enhance the guest experience and ensure energy efficiency.
- Coordinate with other departments (e.g., maintenance, housekeeping) to schedule electrical repairs and installations without disrupting hotel operations.
Qualifications and Skills:
- High school diploma or equivalent; formal training in electrical systems preferred.
- At least 2 years of experience as an electrician, with a focus on LT panel management and electrical work within the hotel or hospitality industry.
- Excellent troubleshooting skills for electrical faults.
- Knowledge of local electrical codes and industry safety standards.
- Attention to detail and ability to work with hand tools and electrical equipment.
- Effective communication skills to liaise with hotel staff and management.
