Identifies and maintains a critical spare part inventory.
Maintains an adequate tool inventory to perform the required maintenance activities in a timely, effective manner.
Aptitude in troubleshooting manufacturing equipment is essential.
Performs welding, electrical, plumbing and cutting functions involved in repairing, replacing, and installing equipment plant wide.
Install conduit and wiring as needed for motors, lighting, and control devices such as valves, limit switches, etc.
Rebuilds, repairs, and installs pumps, motors, gear boxes, etc. Also fabricates parts, braces, etc. as required to keep the plant equipment in running order.
Requests, when needed, assistance from manufacturing service reps.
Request when needed assistance from outside contractors for specialized repairs or installs, such as electrical, heavy equipment, plumbing etc.
Maintains an up-to-date database (SAP) of all equipment, pm schedules, repairs, work orders, history, and spare parts required to operate equipment at the site.
Maintains a current library of service manuals, schematics, and equipment diagrams.
Maintains current documentation on each piece of plant equipment, i.e., maintenance logs and data, operating status, preventative maintenance schedules, and repair history.
Recommends the upgrade and/or replacement of equipment.
Keeps a current, daily log of all maintenance tasks performed.
Maintains a neat, clean, safe, and organized maintenance shop.
Works closely with other employees in a team-based environment.
Complies with all corporate safety and environmental regulations and procedures.
Complies with all HACCP Food Safety procedures, GMP’S, and guidelines.
Ensures maintenance activities described in the special conditions of the air permit are completed.
Performs other duties as assigned.
