POSITION:

Elementary Library Media Specialist

RESPONSIBLE TO:

Superintendent and Building Principal

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

Creating a flexible class environment favorable to learning and personal growth; establishing effective rapport with pupils; motivating pupils to develop skills, attitudes and knowledge needed to provide a good foundation for preparation for college, careers, and citizenship, in accordance with each pupil’s ability; establishing good relationships with parents and with other staff members; other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.

EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

Master's degree from four-year college or university and valid Library Media certification.

OTHER REQUIREMENTS:

Regular attendance following a designated work schedule; must be able to work extended hours and additional days/evenings as required by position responsibilities; must be able to attend and participate in meetings and conferences scheduled.

STARTING DATE:

Beginning of the 2026-2027 school year.
