Duties

• Design and implement engaging lesson plans aligned with curriculum standards that promote literacy, numeracy, creativity, and social skills
• Create a positive classroom atmosphere through effective classroom management and behavior support strategies
• Assess student progress regularly using formative and standardized testing methods; adapt instruction accordingly to meet diverse learning needs
• Incorporate learning technology and library services to enhance instructional delivery and student engagement
• Collaborate with colleagues, specialists, and families to support students with special education needs or those requiring early intervention services
• Mentor new teachers or teaching assistants, sharing best practices in childhood development and classroom management
• Facilitate activities that promote physical education, arts, and social-emotional learning to develop well-rounded students

Qualifications

• Proven classroom experience working with young children in early childhood education settings or private schools
• Strong knowledge of childhood development principles, literacy education, math instruction, and behavior management techniques
• Experience with curriculum development, lesson planning, and working with individuals with autism or other special needs
• Familiarity with teaching physical education, tutoring strategies, standardized testing procedures, and early intervention programs
• Excellent communication skills for engaging students, parents, and colleagues effectively
• Proficiency in learning technology tools and library services relevant to elementary education
• Certification or background in Montessori methods or other specialized educational approaches is a plus
• Demonstrated ability to manage a classroom effectively while fostering an inclusive environment that supports all learners
