What You Will Be Doing

As an Elementary School Teacher at Alpha, you'll inspire and empower young learners to set and reach their own educational milestones. Your role involves nurturing self-directed learning through personalized instruction in social-emotional skills and foundational literacy, with support from Reading Specialists. You'll create an engaging classroom atmosphere that champions curiosity and resilience through hands-on activities.

You'll also integrate AI-driven tools to elevate educational outcomes, preparing students for a future where technology and traditional learning harmonize. Collaborate with fellow educators and counselors to tailor education to each student's unique needs and learning styles.

Elementary School Teacher Key Responsibilities

Your mission is to cultivate independent learning and life skills in Kindergarten through 2nd-grade students, setting them on a path to success and personal growth.

Basic Requirements

• Must be willing to work on-site at our Phoenix, AZ; Tampa, FL; or Austin, TX campus.
• Hold a college degree in any field.
• Possess at least 3 years of experience working with children ages 4-8 in educational, afterschool, sports, or related environments.
• Demonstrated ability to apply a growth mindset and high-performance coaching strategies.
• Enthusiastic about integrating AI and technology into educational settings.
• Eligible to work in the US without visa sponsorship.
  
  

Nice-to-have Requirements

While not required, these qualifications will make your application shine:

• A degree or certification in early learning fields such as education, child development, or reading intervention.
• Advanced training in early childhood methodologies like CDA, Montessori, or Reggio Emilia.
• Experience as a K-2 teacher, reading coach, or literacy specialist with formal training in reading & phonics frameworks.

Working with us

This is a full-time (40 hours per week), long-term position. The position is immediately available and requires entering into an independent contractor agreement with Crossover as a Contractor of Record. The compensation level for this role is $50 USD/hour, which equates to $100,000 USD/year assuming 40 hours per week and 50 weeks per year. The payment period is weekly.
