The ELV Engineer will be responsible for the design, tendering, estimation, execution, testing & commissioning, and maintenance of Security, Connectivity, Access Control Systems, and other ELV solutions. The role involves coordinating with clients, consultants, contractors, and internal teams to ensure projects are delivered to regulatory and technical specifications.
Key Responsibilities1. Design & Technical Work
- Design Security, Connectivity, and Access Control Systems according to regulatory, consultant, or client requirements.
- Ensure designs match product specifications and site conditions.
- Prepare equipment lists, material work orders, and verify mechanical component design parameters (e.g., ductwork).
- Perform initial risk assessments and create necessary documentation.
2. Tendering & Estimation
- Prepare tender proposals and BOQ as per consultant or regulatory body design.
- Provide accurate pricing details and technical documentation for approvals.
3. Project Execution
- Execute ELV systems on-site in coordination with consultants, clients, site engineers, and managers.
- Ensure adherence to approved drawings and regulatory specifications.
- Manage technical staff and coordinate with all site personnel for timely project completion.
- Prepare daily work reports, material usage, tool reports, and safety logs.
- Identify site changes (design or requirement) and update concerned stakeholders promptly.
- Create MRF (Material Request Form) in advance to ensure material availability.
- Check and sign DO (Delivery Order), Material Return Forms, and related documentation.
4. Inspections & Meetings
- Conduct routine site inspections and verify work progress as per specifications.
- Attend client, consultant, and regulatory body meetings; document all relevant points and share updates with internal stakeholders.
- Raise technical issues to clients or consultants when necessary.
5. Testing, Commissioning & Handover
- Participate in T&C activities ensuring compliance with technical and regulatory standards.
- Update project specifications to avoid issues during completion, handover, or inspection.
6. Maintenance
- Perform routine maintenance of systems during the Defect Liability Period (DLP).
- Assist the maintenance team with corrective and preventive maintenance tasks as required.
7. Safety & Compliance
- Ensure all safety protocols are followed at site.
- Conduct weekly safety training for site personnel.
Qualifications
- Bachelor of Engineering/Technology or Science in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
- Minimum 2 years experience in a similar ELV Engineering role.
Software Skills
- Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
- Project management tools: Microsoft Project / Primavera / Similar
- AutoCAD or similar CAD software
