ELV Engineer (Design & Project)

We are seeking a skilled and experienced ELV Engineer with strong design and project execution experience in MEP contracting company. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the design, coordination, installation, testing, and commissioning of ELV systems across commercial, residential, and mixed-use projects.

The candidate must have hands-on experience in both technical design preparation and site project management.

Key Responsibilities - Design & Engineering

• Review tender drawings, specifications, and BOQs.
• Prepare ELV shop drawings, schematics, and riser diagrams.
• Design and coordinate systems including:
• Fire Alarm Systems
• CCTV & Surveillance
• Access Control
• Structured Cabling / Data Networks
• Public Address & Voice Evacuation
• SMATV/IPTV
• Intercom Systems
• Perform design calculations and ensure compliance with local authority regulations.
• Coordinate with electrical, mechanical, and civil teams.

Project Execution

• Manage ELV installations on-site as per approved drawings.
• Coordinate with suppliers, subcontractors, and consultants.
• Prepare material submittals, method statements, and ITPs.
• Conduct inspections, testing, and commissioning.
• Prepare as-built drawings and O&M manuals.
• Attend project meetings and provide technical support.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical / Electronics Engineering.
• 3–8 years of experience in ELV systems within an MEP contracting company.
• Strong knowledge of:
• NFPA standards (for fire alarm systems)
• Structured cabling standards (TIA/EIA)
• Local Civil Defense regulations
• Proficiency in AutoCAD (Revit is a plus).
• Experience handling authority approvals.
• Strong coordination and communication skills.
• Ability to manage site teams and meet deadlines.

Preferred Skills

• Experience in large-scale commercial or high-rise projects.
• GCC experience.
• Vendor coordination and cost control experience.
• Problem-solving and leadership skills.
