The Email Marketing Specialist will manage end-to-end email marketing initiatives across the full customer journey. You will create newsletters, automation workflows, and promotional campaigns while maintaining strong brand consistency and measurable performance.

You will work closely with Marketing, Sales, and Customer Success teams to support lead generation, onboarding, retention, and revenue growth.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, build, and deploy high-performing email campaigns, including newsletters, product updates, onboarding sequences, event promotions, and nurture workflows.
  • Write, edit, and proofread engaging email copy that aligns with brand voice and drives conversions.
  • Manage email layouts and templates using HTML/CSS or drag-and-drop editors in ESPs such as HubSpot, Mailchimp, ActiveCampaign, or Marketo.
  • Create and maintain audience segmentation strategies for targeted communications.
  • Ensure compliance with data privacy and email regulations (CAN-SPAM, GDPR, etc.).
  • Collaborate with Sales and Marketing Operations teams to align CRM data and email automation.
  • Conduct A/B tests on subject lines, design, and content to improve open and click-through rates.
  • Analyze campaign metrics and provide actionable insights to optimize performance.
  • Design and manage automated workflows for lead nurturing, onboarding, and customer retention.
  • Partner with content and design teams to maintain cohesive messaging across all emails.
  • Support internal communications through company newsletters and updates.

Qualifications

  • 3–5+ years of experience in email marketing, preferably within a B2B, SaaS or technology company.
  • Proficiency with email marketing and automation tools (HubSpot, Marketo, Mailchimp, Active Campaign, etc.).
  • Excellent copywriting and editing skills with a focus on clarity, engagement, and conversion.
  • Understanding of responsive email design, accessibility, and HTML/CSS basics.
  • Experience with marketing automation and CRM system integration.
  • Strong analytical skills with expertise in A/B testing, performance tracking, and optimization.
  • Knowledge of email deliverability, segmentation, and compliance best practices.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience in lifecycle or retention marketing.
  • Basic design skills (Canva, Figma, or Adobe).
  • Familiarity with Salesforce or similar CRM tools.
  • Understanding of SaaS customer lifecycle strategies.
