Position Overview
We’re seeking a highly skilled, independent, and detail-oriented Embroidery Specialist to lead our embroidery department. This role is ideal for someone who:

You’ll manage the full embroidery workflow—from hooping and running machines to thread management, machine upkeep, design setup, and quality control.

Key Responsibilities
Production & Execution
- Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot multi-head embroidery machines
- Prepare garments, hooping, stabilizing, and running jobs efficiently
- Set thread charts, change thread colors, and manage bobbins and tensions
- Ensure high-quality stitching and consistent output
- Run production independently with accuracy and speed
Artwork & Technology
- Use embroidery software (e.g., Hatch, Wilcom, Pulse, or equivalent**) to load, adjust, and prep designs**
- Review DST files, scale designs, and position artwork correctly
- Assist in testing sew-outs and approving samples for customers
- Work within our systems (Printavo, computer station workflows, internal SOPs)
Management & Workflow
- Oversee daily embroidery schedule and prioritize jobs
- Maintain inventory of threads, stabilizers, needles, and supplies
- Keep embroidery workspace clean, organized, and production-ready
- Work closely with the screenprinting and vinyl/signage departments for crossover jobs
- Communicate status updates, delays, or production issues proactively
Quality & Customer Focus
- Perform final quality checks on all embroidered products
- Ensure accuracy in garment counts, design placement, and customer specifications

Qualifications
Must-Have
- 2+ years of embroidery experience (commercial setting preferred)
- Strong knowledge of multi-head embroidery machines
- Ability to meet deadlines without sacrificing quality
- Comfort with computers, embroidery software, and digital workflows
- Excellent organization skills
- Ability to work independently (this is huge!)
- Strong work ethic and reliability
Nice-to-Have
- Experience training or supervising others
- Familiarity with Printavo or similar shop management systems
- Background in apparel decoration or production
- Tech-savvy mindset—comfortable learning new tools and systems
- A sense of humor (helps on long embroidery days)
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand for long periods
- Lift boxes/garment bundles up to ~40 lbs
- Fine motor skills for threading, detail work, and adjustments

Pay: $35,000.00 - $47,000.00 per year
