Overview
The Emergency Zoo Funding Coordinator plays a vital role in securing financial support to ensure the continued operation and care within the zoo during critical times. This position involves developing and implementing fundraising strategies, engaging with donors, and coordinating emergency funding campaigns. Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute emergency fundraising campaigns to address urgent financial needs of the zoo
  • Identify potential donors, grants, and sponsorship opportunities aligned with conservation goals
  • Coordinate with internal teams to prepare compelling proposals, reports, and outreach materials
  • Organize fundraising events and community engagement activities to raise awareness and support
  • Maintain accurate records of donations, grants, and funding sources
  • Collaborate with management to prioritize funding initiatives based on urgent needs
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of fundraising efforts, adjusting strategies as needed
  • Advocate for the zoo’s mission through public speaking engagements, social media, and partnerships

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in fundraising, grant writing, or nonprofit development preferred
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills for engaging diverse stakeholders
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects under tight deadlines
  • Passion for wildlife conservation, animal welfare, or related environmental causes
  • Knowledge of fundraising platforms, CRM systems, or social media outreach tools is a plus
  • Bachelor’s degree in nonprofit management, communications, environmental science, or a related field is desirable
  • Commitment to ethical practices and transparency in financial management

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Contract, Temporary, Internship

Pay: $25.35 - $30.53 per hour
