Job Purpose
JOB DESCRIPTION
To provide technical support by developing specifications, design/layout project schedules and all other engineering aspects related to the development of service stations and bulk fuel storage facilities in the local market to ensure full compliance with the Company standards and specifications.
Key Result Areas

Work with engineering consultants to develop the layout design and detailed drawings of new
and redevelopment service stations and bulk fuel storage facilities and all other civil,
electrical and mechanical jobs to ensure compliance with Bapco's standards and policies.

Assist consultants, contractors and suppliers on different engineering aspects/ documentations
to ensure compliance with the company's established standards and technical specifications.

Prepare and maintain project schedules and work deliverables to provide predicted and actual
progress of work in Local Marketing development projects to ensure that all assigned works
Are Monitored And Are Within The Company’s Requirements.

Prepare service orders and cost estimates for major mechanical, electrical and civil works
related to modification/upgrade of the existing Bapco service stations.

Develop scope of works and prepare technical specifications and tender documents for
various Local Marketing projects.

Review contractor's tendered documents to ensure compliance with the company's standards
and established specifications.

Carry out frequent site visits to service stations and various local market projects to monitor
the progress of work, ensure contractors work safely and within agreed specs and in
accordance to the Company's standards and HSE regulations.

Prepare purchase orders and cost estimates for materials, equipment, systems and other items
related to the company service stations and Local Marketing facilities, through the use of
EMPAC, CMM and other systems.

Conduct progress meetings with consultants and contractors to review overall work progress
and schedules, in consultation with Senior Engineer.
Knowledge Skills And Experience
1- BSc. in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
2- Minimum 5 years experience in engineering design together with experience in construction,
and redevelopment, knowledge of petroleum distribution and retailing business including
service stations and bulk fuel storage facilities.
3- Ability to integrate legal/regulatory, financial, engineering, marketing, sales, various technical/
commercial aspects of petroleum distribution and retailing operation.
4- Up-to-date knowledge of current trends, designs, materials and equipment of service stations
and bulk fuel storage facilities.
5- Good analytical skills and computer literacy as well as good knowledge and proficiency in
AutoCAD.
6- Good knowledge of operational standards and HSE regulations.
7- Highly competent in communicating in English and Arabic with ability to produce technical
reports, prepare and make presentations and handle all routine correspondence related to his
work.
