Engineering Intern

Position Summary: Assist the Engineering Department

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Maintain and service test chamber
• Setup products for testing chamber
• Assist in troubleshooting products being tested
• Assemble mockups and prototypes for testing

Other Duties and Responsibilities:

• Additional projects as assigned by the Engineering Manager

Qualifications:

• HVAC Certified

While performing the duties of this job, the employees must stand at least 8 hours per day. The employee is frequently required to grasp, handle, and feel objects, control and manage tools with full body control, and climb or balance. The employee is occasionally required to walk; reach with hands and arms; stoop, kneel, or crouch; and talk or hear.

The employee will push and pull at least 50 pounds consistently, frequently lift and/or move from ground to table up to 25 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move from ground to table up to 40 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is exposed to a light manufacturing environment. The noise level in the work environment is occasionally high for short durations of time with noise from impact tools and forklifts. Work is performed in an enclosed shop environment with adequate air circulation.
