Job Purpose

IDFC FIRST Bank is seeking an experienced and highly skilled Engineering Manager to join our growing team in Chennai, Tamil Nadu. As an Engineering Manager, you will play a crucial role in leading and managing our digital engineering team to deliver innovative and cutting-edge solutions for our digital banking platform.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Lead and manage a team of engineers to design, develop, and implement digital banking solutions.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
• Ensure timely delivery of high-quality software products that meet business needs
• Manage the entire software development
• lifecycle, from planning and design to testing and deployment.
• Strong technical background in software development, with expertise in one or more programming languages (Java, Python, etc.)
• Experience with Agile methodologies and project management tools (JIRA, Trello, etc.)
• Mentor and coach team members to enhance their technical skills and promote a culture of continuous learning.
• Stay updated with the latest technologies and industry trends to drive innovation and improve processes.
• Collaborate with other engineering managers to align on best practices and ensure consistency across teams.
• Monitor and report on team performance, identify areas for improvement, and implement solutions to increase efficiency and productivity.
• Work closely with product managers and stakeholders to define project scope, timelines, and deliverables.
• Ensure compliance with security and regulatory standards in all software development activities.
  
  

Education Qualification

Graduation: Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field

Experience: 10-18 years of experience in software development, with at least 3 years in a managerial role.
