About Jeeny:

Jeeny is a mobile application that eases daily commuting and transportation. By connecting you with your preferred mode of transportation, we are fulfilling our aim of making mobility accessible, affordable, and flexible for all.

We are a joint venture between MEIG (Middle East Internet Group), Rocket Internet, and IMENA. Jeeny was established in 2014 as Easy Taxi. However, in 2016, it was revamped as Jeeny to cater to other services. Currently, we are operational in Saudi Arabia and Jordan.

We have offices in Riyadh, Jeddah, Madinah, Dammam, Khobar, Amman, Lahore, and Karachi.


Job Brief:

We are seeking an experienced and proactive Engineering Manager (QA) to lead the quality assurance function across our product and engineering teams. This role involves overseeing the QA strategy, managing manual and automation teams, and ensuring quality across complex domains like customer experience, business ride flows, and backend systems. You will drive test planning, process improvement, bug triaging, and team alignment with product, tech leads, and Requirement Engineering (RE) teams.

Responsibilities:

  • Own the overall QA strategy, roadmap, and execution across squads
  • Set quarterly QA team goals and track execution and outcomes
  • Drive process improvements across automation, manual QA, and release cycles
  • Collaborate with product and tech leads to prioritize QA backlog and grooming of reported bugs
  • Coordinate test planning, coverage, and manual test scans for critical feature launches
  • Conduct process gap analysis and define preventive quality measures
  • Collaborate with HR for resource planning, team capacity, and hiring decisions
  • Align QA strategy with long-term goals including tooling, frameworks, and test infrastructure
  • Actively participate in Requirement Engineering (RE) meetings, daily stand-ups, and QA team syncs
  • Maintain reporting, documentation, and progress tracking for QA activities and coverage

Requirements

  • BS/MS in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field
  • 12+ years of QA experience, with at least 3 years in a QA leadership or management role
  • Strong understanding of QA methodologies, automation frameworks, and release management
  • Experience in managing cross-functional QA efforts across manual and automation teams
  • Familiarity with tools like Selenium, JIRA, TestRail, Postman, CI/CD pipelines, and version control systems
  • Proven ability to lead strategic initiatives and align QA with business priorities
  • Excellent planning, communication, and stakeholder collaboration skills
  • Experience in fast-paced product environments such as ride-hailing, logistics, or mobility is a plus
