About the Role

As an Enterprise Portfolio Manager, you will be a seasoned professional responsible for overseeing a portfolio of strategic initiatives and leading large scale, complex enterprise projects. You will operate with significant autonomy, developing solutions to intricate business challenges and managing senior stakeholders while resolving high level escalated issues. In this capacity, you will play a vital role in ensuring that all initiatives remain strictly aligned with the organization's overarching strategy.

Responsibilities
  • Define portfolio scope, objectives, and deliverables in collaboration with senior stakeholders.
  • Develop comprehensive portfolio plans, including resource allocation, dependency management, and financial oversight.
  • Provide strategic direction for a portfolio of enterprise projects, ensuring adherence to project management frameworks and organizational standards.
  • Lead and motivate project teams, providing guidance and support to ensure the success of complex initiatives.
  • Coordinate cross functional teams, including internal staff, secretariat teams, and external partners.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact and escalation for significant portfolio issues, providing expert guidance and facilitating timely resolution.
  • Identify and assess complex portfolio level risks and develop robust mitigation strategies.
  • Monitor and track interdependent risks throughout the portfolio lifecycle and implement response plans to minimize disruptions.
  • Ensure that portfolio outcomes and project deliverables meet international quality standards and requirements.
  • Conduct regular reviews and audits to ensure compliance with organizational policies, procedures, and global standards.
  • Develop and manage comprehensive portfolio budgets, tracking expenses and ensuring cost effectiveness.
  • Prepare specialized and ad hoc reports for senior leadership, highlighting portfolio status, risks, and strategic outcomes.
  • Stay informed about international best practices, such as PMI, Agile, and Prince2, and incorporate them into organizational methodologies.
Qualifications
  • A minimum of 10+ years of progressive professional experience in project and portfolio management.
  • A Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or equivalent is required.
  • A Master's degree in Business Administration or equivalent is a plus.
  • PMP certification is strongly preferred, reflecting a commitment to international project management standards.
