At our school, curiosity is celebrated, childhood is cherished, and teachers are truly seen, heard, and valued.
Were you the child who loved to explore the world, ask big questions, and dive into muddy puddles just to see what would happen?
Do you find joy in nurturing the wonder and discovery in children as they grow?
If you share these values, The Little School invites you to join our community of passionate educators, playful kiddos, and a truly unique learning environment. Come to our vibrant campus, meet our amazing team, and see firsthand how we inspire children—and each other—every day.
The Little School is a Reggio Emilia-inspired, nature-based program committed to raising a generation of curious, adventurous, and empathetic critical thinkers who can change the world for the better. We’re looking for joyful, collaborative, and dedicated classroom teachers to join us [for the 2024-2025 school year] in the following roles:
We are in search of 2 co-teachers: one for an infant classroom and one for a 1s classroom.
Each teaching team consists of two educators who collaboratively plan, support, and grow alongside the children in their care. Teachers work a 9-hour shift (with a 1-hour lunch) scheduled between 7:15 AM and 6:00 PM, rotating opening and closing shifts as a team. Flexibility to adjust schedules for team needs is required.
What makes The Little School different?
We’re not just here to teach; we’re here to grow together. We believe teachers deserve to be supported, inspired, and appreciated every step of the way. Our comprehensive compensation package reflects that commitment, including medical, dental, and vision coverage, a 401(k) plan, and opportunities for professional development and educational assistance. Plus, our teachers say the sense of community and collaboration here makes The Little School a truly special place to work.
Qualifications:
If you have a genuine love for working with children, we want to hear from you! North Carolina Credentials (or equivalent), early childhood education credits, prior experience in similar settings and a state qualification letter are all preferred. However, if you don’t yet have those credentials, we believe passion, curiosity, and a commitment to growing alongside our children are just as important; we will support the right candidates in pursuing professional development opportunities.
