About the Role (Entry Level)

Monqui Presents (www.monqui.com) are looking for a passionate and creative Marketing Assistant with a focus on Social Media to join our concert promotion marketing team. In this role, you will drive fan engagement, build buzz for shows, and support ticket sales through dynamic social media campaigns. Alongside your digital responsibilities, you’ll also support the marketing department with key administrative tasks that help keep campaigns running smoothly and on schedule in a fast-paced environment.

Location: Portland, Oregon

Work Environment: Structured Hybrid, following the successful completion of the in-office probationary period.

Key Responsibilities

Social Media & Content Creation

  • Plan, create, and publish engaging content across platforms (Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, Reddit, YouTube, etc.) to promote concerts and events.
  • Capture content (photo and video) for real-time fan engagement.
  • Develop and manage content calendars that align with show announcements, ticket on-sales, contests, promotions, and artist campaigns.

Community Engagement

  • Monitor and respond to comments, DMs, and fan messages to foster positive fan relationships.
  • Coordinate with artists, venues, and partners to amplify reach and cross-promote content.
  • Build excitement around contests, promotions, and day-of-show fan interactions.

Campaign Management & Reporting

  • Collaborate with marketing, design, and ticketing teams to support digital campaigns and promotions.
  • Assist in launching and optimizing social campaigns to maximize ticket sales and reach.
  • Track KPIs (engagement, reach, ticket conversion, follower growth) and generate regular performance reports.
  • Test new formats and strategies to optimize performance.

Administrative Support

  • Maintain and organize event and marketing calendars, ensuring deadlines and announcements are met.
  • Assist with contest administration, including tracking entries, selecting winners, and coordinating prize fulfillment.
  • Prepare and distribute marketing materials to internal teams, venues, agents, managers, and partners.
  • Support email and SMS campaign setup by coordinating assets and scheduling sends.
  • Handle basic clerical tasks (data entry, updating spreadsheets, maintaining shared drives, filing invoices) as needed.
  • Interface with artist teams (agents and managers) via email and phone and video calls.
  • General customer service and support.

Qualifications

  • Highly motivated in collaborative and independent environments.
  • Comfortable in front of a camera (your likeness will be utilized on public channels).
  • Being a creative thinker with enthusiasm for new ideas and continual learning is a must.
  • Detail-oriented, organized, and capable of managing multiple projects and deadlines.
  • Basic administrative skills include scheduling, data entry, and file management.
  • Strong writing and visual storytelling skills with a creative eye for fan-driven content.
  • Skilled in creating short-form content and comfortable capturing content at live events.
  • Proficiency with WordPress and Microsoft 365 products is a plus.
  • Proficiency with social media management and analytics tools is a plus (Meta Business Suite, TikTok Analytics, Social Pilot, etc).
  • Proficiency with creative tools is a plus (Adobe Suite, Canva, Kapwing, CapCut, etc).
  • Passion for live music is a necessity.
