Mission
The EHS Leader is responsible for developing, implementing, and continuously improving a comprehensive Environment, Health & Safety strategy across Schneider Electric’s operations. This role ensures compliance with global and local regulations, fosters a culture of safety and sustainability, and supports the physical, mental, and social well-being of all employees.
Core Responsibilities
1. Strategic EHS Management

Design and maintain a dynamic EHS framework aligned with Schneider Electric’s global standards.

Lead the deployment of Health & Safety (H&S) policies and standards across all operational areas.

Develop and implement preventive programs to reduce workplace accidents, occupational illnesses, and associated costs.

Monitor regulatory changes and ensure proactive compliance.
-
Provide expert support on healthcare-related matters and employee well-being initiatives.
2. Environmental Oversight

Manage environmental performance at industrial and logistics sites.
-
Oversee waste management, emissions tracking, and environmental impact reduction.
-
Define and implement Best Available Technologies (BAT) for product industrialization.

Ensure consistent application of environmental standards across all relevant sites.
Operational Responsibilities by Business Area
A. Services Operations
-
Coordinate safety initiatives including electrical safety, road safety, ergonomics, human factors, and workplace conditions.

Represent the country in MEA bi-weekly safety meetings and present updates.
-
Track, analyze, and report EHS KPIs; ensure timely follow-up on action plans.

Conduct regular safety audits and inspections.

Collaborate with operations teams to integrate safety into daily workflows.

Lead contractor safety management and ensure compliance with internal standards.

Organize and deliver safety training programs for Field Services teams.

Roll out new HSE initiatives across the country and cluster.
B. Global Customer Projects

Coordinate safety activities across project sites, including kick-off meetings with customers and contractors.

Monitor and report project-specific EHS KPIs and action plans.

Manage outsourced site safety officers and ensure alignment with project teams.

Conduct safety audits and provide guidance to Project and Tendering Managers.

Deliver tailored safety training for project teams.
-
Lead contractor safety efforts and ensure adherence to Schneider Electric’s safety protocols.
C. Headquarters & Regional Offices
-
Organize legal safety training and health checks in compliance with local regulations.

Manage PPE requests and maintain inventory standards.
-
Coordinate Safety Committee meetings and ensure follow-up on decisions.

Review and update Emergency Response Plans; organize fire drills and first-aid training.
-
Liaise with Plaza Management for evacuation drills and emergency coordination.
-
Provide expert advice on safety matters within HQ and regional offices.
Qualifications & Requirements
-
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related technical field.
-
Minimum 5 years of professional experience in Health, Safety & Environment (HSE).

Certified A-Class Safety Expert (mandatory).
-
NEBOSH or IOSH certification (preferred).
-
Excellent command of written and spoken English.
-
Advanced proficiency in MS Office tools, especially Excel.
-
Strong interpersonal skills with a collaborative and responsible approach.
-
No travel restrictions; willingness to travel as needed.
