Role Purpose
To guide projects on sustainability and environmental strategies and legal requirements and to also manage organization wide data collection and reporting on such.
Key Accountabilities

Ensure compliance with local legal and international Env/Sust standards, rules and regulations and polices regarding Env/Sust are regularly communicated clearly to all employees.

Carry out regular project inspections detailing findings and tracking actions to close out!

Monitor all environmental compliance and report any deviations; ensure deviations are rectified.

Maintain and monitor Environmental accident/incident reports in line with Company’s policies and procedures, conduct investigations and submit documentation to HSE Director

Ensure ASGC complies with all required authority reporting on incidents and performance.

Act as the point of contact with relevant 3rd party organizations – business groups etc.
Review and update legal register with relevant Env/Sust requirements.
Qualifications, Experience, Knowledge & Skills

Bachelor’s degree in environmental engineering or Equivalent
-
5-8 years’ experience of relevant working experience (preferred in well-established contracting companies in GCC)

Ability to work in all outside weather and site conditions, as required.

Knowledge of Env/Sust standards, Impacts and aspects and controls,
-
Ability to influence management for Env/Sust performance improvement.

Ability to accept direction and complete work independently, demonstrating confidence and conviction with the ability to intervene at all times.

A self-starter with a high degree of initiative.
Capable to liaise with authorities and consultants on project requirements and reporting
