Job Summary:The Inventory Specialist is responsible for supporting the implementation of the Oracle Fusion Applications Inventory module across multiple construction project sites. This role ensures accurate tracking, reconciliation, and reporting of materials and equipment while coordinating between head office, site Inventory Officers, and Store Keepers to support timely availability and efficient project execution.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the implementation, configuration, and optimization of the Oracle Fusion Inventory module, including assisting with data migration, process setup, and user training.
- Operate the Oracle Fusion Applications Inventory module for all inventory transactions, including receipts, issues, transfers, returns, and adjustments, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
- Manage and maintain accurate inventory records across multiple construction projects, ensuring stock levels align with project requirements and company policies.
- Conduct regular inventory audits, cycle counts, and reconciliations, identify discrepancies, investigate causes, and implement corrective actions.
- Coordinate with procurement, finance, project management, and warehouse teams to ensure timely availability of materials, avoid project delays, and optimize stock levels.
- Monitor inventory usage trends, generate reports, and provide actionable insights to management for better planning, cost control, and resource allocation.
- Develop and enforce inventory management policies and standard operating procedures, ensuring compliance with safety, regulatory, and company standards.
- Maintain a structured and organized inventory system, including proper labeling, storage, and documentation of materials and equipment.
- Identify slow-moving, obsolete, or excess stock and collaborate with stakeholders to reduce waste and optimize inventory turnover.
- Assist in budgeting and forecasting of material requirements for construction projects, supporting cost control and procurement planning.
- Provide training and guidance to project site teams on inventory management practices and the use of Oracle Fusion Applications.
- Continuously evaluate and implement process improvements and automation opportunities within the inventory function to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
- Support internal and external audits by providing complete and accurate inventory records and related documentation.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, Civil Engineering, or related field preferred.
- 5 or more years of inventory control or material management experience in building construction or contracting companies.
- Hands-on experience with Oracle Fusion Applications Inventory module.
