About the Role


We are looking for an experienced Buyer to manage purchasing and inventory strategies within GMG’s Sports Common Division . This role will focus on sourcing, supplier negotiation, and inventory optimization to ensure the availability of high-quality, market-relevant products while driving profitability and customer satisfaction.


Key Responsibilities


• Manage the end-to-end buying process, from product selection to store delivery

• Conduct market research to identify consumer trends and purchasing opportunities

• Negotiate with suppliers to achieve competitive pricing and quality standards

• Monitor supplier performance, ensuring timely and accurate deliveries

• Analyze sales and inventory data to optimize assortment and stock levels

• Collaborate with Category, Logistics, and Store teams to resolve supply chain issues

• Prepare performance reports using SAP and Power BI

  • • Ensure compliance with GMG policies and procurement standards


Qualifications


  • Bachelor’s degree in Business (Supply Chain Management preferred).
  • Certification in Procurement Management (required); postgraduate qualification is an advantage.
  • Minimum 3–5 years of experience in buying , with at least 2 years in retail fashion or retail apparel.
  • Proven expertise in inventory management, SAP ERP, and data-driven analytics.


Key Skills

  • Advanced Excel (mandatory); SAP proficiency preferred.
  • Strong analytical mindset with commercial acumen.
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Strong brand knowledge and understanding of the retail lifestyle industry.
  • Proactive, collaborative, and adaptable team player
