The ERP Lead is responsible for driving the strategic vision, implementation, and optimization of enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems across the organization. This role ensures that ERP solutions align with business objectives, support operational excellence, and enable data-driven decision-making. The ERP Lead collaborates with senior leadership and cross-functional teams to deliver transformative technology initiatives that enhance efficiency and scalability.

Essential Position Responsibilities - This is a salary exempt position.


Provides ERP design and implementation direction. The ERP Lead provides overall direction for ERP strategy, system configuration, deployment, and ongoing improvement, ensuring alignment with Simmons Foods’ business goals. This role leads cross-functional teams in the design and execution of ERP projects, fostering collaboration and accountability throughout the organization.


Leads in change management and training. The ERP Lead oversees change management, user adoption, and continuous improvement efforts, ensuring that ERP systems deliver measurable value and support future growth. As a member of the Team, the ERP Lead participates in the development, communication, and implementation of team concepts, programs, and policies; coordinates work to ensure best practices with all team members. The ERP Lead attends or leads appropriate team meetings and fosters strong cohesiveness regarding all major issues, including direction, annual plan, budget, and policy changes. The ERP Lead accepts responsibility to quickly identify any areas that lack cohesiveness, bringing them to the attention of the team leader and working with the team in a supportive manner to resolve issues and actively look for ways, and reinforce actions needed, to achieve synergy possible within the larger organization.


Leads rollout activities. The ERP Lead is directly involved in all phases of ERP rollouts, including planning, execution, and go-live activities. This includes hands-on leadership during system launches, troubleshooting issues, and ensuring a smooth transition for business users. The ERP Lead works closely with stakeholders to coordinate resources, manage timelines, and resolve challenges that arise during deployment and go-live events.


Participates as a member of the Team. Participates in the ongoing development, communication and implementation of team concepts, programs, and policies; coordinates work to ensure best practices with all team members. Attends appropriate team meetings. As a member of the Team, fosters strong cohesiveness regarding all major issues, e.g., direction, annual plan, budget, policy changes, etc. Accepts responsibility to quickly identify any areas that lack cohesiveness, bringing them to the attention of the team leader and working with the team in a supportive manner to resolve issues and actively look for ways, and reinforce actions needed, to achieve synergy possible within the larger organization.


Simmons Operating systems principles and objectives: Is familiar with Simmons’ established operating systems (e.g. quality, security, office environment, company policies, LEAN); understands the responsibility to maintain familiarity with the systems and this position’s role in support of these systems - including a consideration of the impact of individual actions on the systems and the responsibility to communicate concerns and improvement ideas.

Physical Activities: As required by visiting facility.


Personal Protective Equipment (PPE): As required by visiting facility.


Travel: Travel to sites as needed during testing and rollout periods.


Technical Experience: 10 years extensive experience in ERP system implementation, management, and optimization; proven track record of leading large-scale technology projects; strong understanding of business process mapping and change management; direct experience managing ERP rollouts and go-live events.


Industry Experience: Experience in food manufacturing, supply chain, or related industries preferred.


Minimum Education: Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Business Administration, supply chain or related field or 4 years’ experience leading ERP implementations.
