The Role
The ERP Support Specialist is responsible for managing, supporting, and enhancing the company’s ERP systems, ensuring seamless business operations across departments. This role involves understanding business processes, analysing requirements, configuring ERP modules, generating reports, improving workflows, and ensuring data accuracy for decision-making. The specialist works closely with Sales, Finance, Operations, Procurement, and Management teams to ensure the ERP system supports day-to-day business needs efficiently. DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES ERP System Management • Manage, configure, and maintain ERP modules (e.g., Sage X3, Microsoft Dynamics Business Central, Odoo, SAP, or Oracle—adjust as required). • Troubleshoot user issues and provide timely support. • Monitor ERP performance and coordinate with vendors for upgrades, fixes, or enhancements. • Ensure smooth rollout of new functionalities, modules, and integrations. Business Process Analysis • Understand and document business processes across departments. • Identify gaps or inefficiencies and propose solutions. • Work with management to align ERP workflows with company policies and business rules. Data Management • Maintain data integrity and master data (customers, suppliers, items, BOM, chart of accounts, etc.). • Perform regular data audits and validations. • Ensure accurate and timely updates of transactional data. Reporting & Dashboarding • Design and develop MIS reports, KPIs, dashboards, and analytics (Power BI, Excel, ERP-native tools). • Automate routine reports for Management, Sales, Finance, and Operations. • Provide actionable insights based on data trends. User Training & Support • Train staff on ERP functionalities and best practices. • Create user manuals, SOPs, and process documentation. • Provide ongoing support to end users and ensure high adoption levels. Systems Integration • Coordinate integration between ERP and other systems (CRM, POS, HRMS, e-commerce, WMS, etc.). • Work with internal/external developers to build API-based integrations. Security & Compliance • Maintain role-based access control in the ERP. • Ensure data security, backups, and compliance with internal controls. • Support audit requirements related to system access and data.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, MIS, or related field. • 2–5 years of experience as MIS/ERP Specialist, ERP Analyst, or Business Systems Analyst. Preferred experience in implementation or support of ERP projects. • Strong knowledge of ERP platforms (Business Central) • Proficiency in SQL queries, databases, and data analysis. • Power BI and Excel reporting skills. • Understanding of APIs, integrations, and automation.• • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.. • Effective vendor negotiation and stakeholder management. • Knowledge of cybersecurity and data protection best practices. • Strong communication and user support capabilities. • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
