Summary

As an English As A Second Language Teacher at New York Language Center, you will play a vital role in helping students achieve their language goals in a friendly and inclusive atmosphere. This position is essential for fostering academic, professional, and personal growth among our diverse student body.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement engaging lesson plans tailored to the needs of adult learners.
• Utilize various teaching methods and technologies to enhance the learning experience.
• Assess student progress through regular evaluations and provide constructive feedback.
• Create a supportive classroom environment that encourages participation and cultural exchange.
• Collaborate with colleagues to improve instructional practices and share resources.
• Participate in professional development opportunities to stay current with ESL teaching methodologies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Linguistics, or a related field; TESOL/TEFL certification preferred.
• Proven experience in adult language education or ESL instruction.
• Strong classroom management skills with the ability to engage diverse learners.
• Excellent communication skills and cultural sensitivity when working with international students.
• Ability to adapt teaching strategies based on individual student needs.
