Estimation Engineer

Job Title: Estimation Engineer – Fire Department

Department: Fire Protection / Fire Safety Systems
Reports To: Division Manager

Job Purpose:

The Estimation Engineer will be responsible for preparing accurate cost estimates, technical proposals, and BOQs for fire protection and firefighting projects. The role ensures competitive and compliant bids by analyzing drawings, specifications, and client requirements while coordinating closely with the sales and design teams.

Key Responsibilities:

• Review tender documents, specifications, and drawings to prepare detailed cost estimates.
• Prepare BOQs, material take-offs, and cost breakdowns for fire alarm, firefighting, and suppression systems.
• Coordinate with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain competitive quotations.
• Ensure compliance with UAE Civil Defense standards and other relevant regulations.
• Develop technical and commercial proposals in coordination with the sales team.
• Support project handover to the execution team with all technical and cost details.
• Participate in client meetings and clarifications related to tenders and estimates.
• Maintain updated knowledge of fire protection systems, equipment, and market prices.
• Track and analyze historical cost data for future estimation accuracy.
• Work with design and engineering teams to provide value-engineered solutions.

Qualifications & Skills:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering or related field.
• 2–5 years of estimation experience in fire protection/firefighting industry (preferred).
• Strong knowledge of fire alarm, firefighting, and suppression systems.
• Familiarity with UAE Civil Defense regulations and approval processes.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, MS Office, and estimation software.
• Strong analytical, mathematical, and cost evaluation skills.
• Good communication and report-writing skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.

Pay: From AED4,000.00 per month
