Job Title: Estimation Engineer

Department: Projects / Operations

Location: Dubai, UAE

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering (mandatory).

Minimum 3–5 years’ experience in estimation, quantity surveying, or cost control within an interior fit-out environment in the UAE.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Drawing Review & Quantification

  • Read, understand, and interpret architectural, structural, MEP, and ID drawings.
  • Perform detailed quantity take-offs for all project components (civil, joinery, finishes, MEP interfaces, etc.).
  • Prepare BOQs with item-wise measurement sheets and clear demarcation of scope inclusion/exclusion.
  • Coordinate with the design and site teams to ensure accurate quantities and specifications.

2. Cost Estimation & Budgeting

  • Prepare detailed cost estimates for materials, labor, subcontractors, and preliminaries.
  • Develop project budgets with cost breakdowns by trade and activity.
  • Identify cost risks and opportunities and propose value-engineering options.
  • Maintain updated cost databases for materials, suppliers, and subcontractors.

3. Sales Estimation & Tendering

  • Assist the business development and design teams in preparing commercial proposals and quotations.
  • Review tender drawings and specifications to prepare competitive bids.
  • Liaise with procurement and suppliers for updated rates and technical compliance.
  • Participate in bid clarifications and tender negotiations when required.

4. Procurement Coordination

  • Prepare combined BOQs for vendor RFQs.
  • Evaluate quotations technically and commercially and prepare comparison sheets.
  • Support the procurement team in vendor selection, material submittals, and order finalization.
  • Track procurement schedules in coordination with project and planning teams.

5. Project Cost Control & Reporting

  • Monitor actual costs vs. budget during project execution.
  • Update cost forecasts and highlight deviations to management.
  • Support in preparation of monthly cost reports and project profitability analysis.

Key Skills Required:

  • The candidate should demonstrate exceptional precision and expertise in Quantity Surveying (QS), with a consistent ability to produce accurate and reliable measurements and cost assessments.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, MS Excel, and cost estimation.
  • Strong analytical and mathematical skills.
  • Excellent communication and coordination abilities.
  • Thorough knowledge of UAE construction practices, suppliers, and market rates.
  • Attention to detail and commitment to deadlines.

  • Highly organized and proactive.
  • Capable of handling multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Strong sense of ownership across estimation and procurement stages.
  • Willing to collaborate closely with planning, design, and site teams.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: AED5,000.00 - AED7,000.00 per month
