Estimation Engineer

About the Role:

We are looking for a highly skilled and detail-oriented Estimation Engineer specializing in Fitout and Joinery. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in HPL, joinery, and interior works, with strong command over AutoCAD, quantity take-offs, and project costing. This role demands both technical expertise and strong coordination skills, working closely with the sales and project teams to ensure accurate pricing, competitive proposals, and smooth project handovers.

Key Responsibilities:

• Review, interpret, and analyze project drawings, BOQs, and tender documents to prepare accurate cost estimates.
• Perform detailed quantity take-offs for joinery, HPL, and fit-out works using AutoCAD and project drawings.
• Prepare shop drawings when required and coordinate with the design team to ensure technical accuracy.
• Prepare material and labor cost breakdowns, supplier inquiries, and comparison sheets for management review.
• Coordinate closely with the sales team to support quotation submissions and clarify technical requirements.
• Work hand-in-hand with the project team during execution to align estimation details with site conditions.
• Update and maintain an organized pricing database and vendor contact list for future tenders.
• Participate in value engineering and cost optimization exercises to ensure competitive proposals.
• Ensure all estimates and proposals are submitted accurately and within deadlines.

Requirements:

• Minimum 3–5 years of experience in estimation for fit-out, joinery, or HPL works in the UAE.
• Strong technical background with the ability to read and interpret architectural and construction drawings.
• Proficient in AutoCAD, Microsoft Excel, and quantity take-off calculations.
• Excellent understanding of materials, market pricing, and fabrication methods.
• Strong coordination skills with the sales, design, and project departments.
• Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple tenders simultaneously.
• Strong analytical and numerical abilities with excellent attention to detail.
• Effective communication and negotiation skills when dealing with suppliers and subcontractors.
• Ability to work independently and meet tight deadlines.
