Estimation Engineer

Duties & Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed cost estimates and tender/bid documents for construction and interior fit-out projects
• Develop and submit material submittals, logs, and related documentation
• Obtain and analyze comparative quotations from suppliers, subcontractors, and vendors
• Review subcontractor proposals to ensure alignment with project scope and specifications
• Raise RFIs (Requests for Information) and clarification requests for accurate pricing and scope coverage
• Interpret drawings, specifications, and engineering documents to prepare BOQs, material lists, and tender documents
• Conduct site visits and prepare reports based on site conditions
• Coordinate with the design team to support initial drawings and concepts when required
• Prepare method statements for BOQ items when needed
• Identify and evaluate cost factors , including materials, labor, equipment, and production time
• Analyze technical documents and data sheets to ensure complete and accurate estimation
• Perform additional duties as assigned by the Estimation Manager / Project Manager

Skills & Competencies

• Strong knowledge of construction and interior fit-out materials, methods, and costing
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical documents
• Expertise in BOQ preparation, estimation, and tendering
• Strong analytical, numerical, and problem-solving skills
• Experience in evaluating subcontractor quotations and technical proposals
• Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word) and estimation software
• Excellent communication and coordination abilities
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines

Qualifications & Requirements

• Education: Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, Quantity Surveying, or related field
• Experience: 3–5 years in estimation (construction / interior fit-out)
• Market Knowledge: Familiarity with UAE market rates, suppliers, and subcontractors is an added advantage

Pay: AED5,000.00 - AED8,000.00 per month
