ESTIMATION ENGINEER - Urgent Requirement

Job Summary

The Estimation Engineer is responsible for preparing accurate cost estimates, tender submissions, budgets, and quantity take-offs for construction projects. The role requires reviewing project documents, analyzing project costs, obtaining quotations from suppliers and subcontractors, and supporting project cost control and contract administration activities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Review project drawings, specifications, BOQs, and tender documents.
  • Perform quantity take-offs and calculate quantities of materials, labor, and equipment required for projects.
  • Prepare detailed cost estimates, budgets, and tender pricing.
  • Request, evaluate, and negotiate quotations from suppliers and subcontractors.
  • Analyze labor, material, equipment, and overhead costs to ensure accurate project costing.
  • Conduct value engineering exercises to identify cost-saving opportunities while maintaining project quality and specifications.
  • Monitor project costs and compare actual costs against estimated costs.
  • Assist with contract administration, variation orders, claims, and change order pricing.
  • Prepare and submit technical and commercial tender documents within deadlines.
  • Coordinate with project managers, procurement teams, site engineers, and clients during the tendering process.
  • Review subcontractor and supplier proposals for technical and commercial compliance.
  • Maintain cost databases, productivity records, and historical pricing information.
  • Prepare project cash flow forecasts and budget reports.
  • Identify risks and opportunities during tender evaluation and recommend suitable pricing strategies.
  • Support Quantity Surveying functions related to measurements, valuations, and cost control.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or quantity surveying.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in estimation and tendering for building construction projects.
  • Strong knowledge of UAE construction practices, materials, and costing.
  • Experience in quantity surveying, cost estimation, and tender preparation.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, MS Excel, and estimation software.
  • Knowledge of FIDIC contracts and UAE construction regulations is preferred.
  • Strong analytical, communication, and negotiation skills.

Pay: AED4,000.00 - AED6,000.00 per month
