ESTIMATION ENGINEER (COLD ROOM / REFRIGERATION)

Role Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented Estimation Engineer with experience in cold room and industrial refrigeration systems. The role involves preparing accurate cost estimates, performing heat load calculations, selecting appropriate equipment, and supporting tendering and project planning activities.

Key ResponsibilitiesEstimation & Costing

• Prepare detailed cost estimates for cold room and refrigeration projects
• Analyze tenders, RFQs, and BOQs to develop competitive quotations
• Evaluate project scope and identify cost-saving opportunities

Technical Calculations & Selection

• Perform heat load calculations for cold rooms and refrigeration systems
• Select suitable equipment including compressors, evaporators, condensers, and accessories
• Ensure compliance with project specifications and standards

Tendering & Documentation

• Prepare technical proposals, MAS submittals, and documentation
• Review P&ID drawings and project requirements
• Maintain proper records of estimates and project data

Coordination

• Liaise with suppliers, contractors, and principals for pricing and technical support
• Coordinate with internal engineering and project teams

Support & Reporting

• Assist in project planning and handover to execution teams
• Provide technical clarification during tender and post-award stages

Candidate Requirements

• Experience: Minimum 3–4 years in cold room or industrial refrigeration estimation
• Strong knowledge of heat load calculations and refrigeration system design
• Hands-on experience in equipment selection (compressors, evaporators, condensers, etc.)
• Experience in tendering, RFQ analysis, and cost estimation
• Familiarity with P&ID drawings, MAS submittals, and project documentation

Preferred / Added Advantage

• Understanding of commercial & industrial refrigeration systems
• Basic knowledge of electrical and automation systems
• GCC experience preferred
