Prepare detailed quantity take-offs, cost estimates, and bid proposals for civil and infrastructure projects including roads, highways, utilities, earthworks, drainage, and site development.
Analyze construction drawings, specifications, addenda, and RFP/RFQ documents in accordance with U.S. standards.
Develop conceptual, preliminary, and final estimates with appropriate cost breakdown structures.
Lead the bid process including scope review, risk assessment, value engineering, and pricing strategies.
Solicit, evaluate, and negotiate subcontractor and supplier quotes within U.S. markets.
Collaborate with project managers, engineers, procurement, and operations teams to ensure accurate project costing.
Review historical cost data and maintain cost databases aligned with U.S. labor, material, and equipment rates.
Identify project risks, contingencies, and opportunities for cost optimization.
Ensure compliance with U.S. construction codes, safety standards, labor laws, and contractual requirements.
Participate in pre-bid meetings, post-bid reviews, and client presentations.
Mentor junior estimators and support continuous improvement in estimating processes.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, or related field.
Minimum 2–5 years of experience in civil construction estimating with a General Contractor.
Proven USA-based estimating experience on civil/infrastructure projects.
Strong understanding of U.S. construction methods, materials, labor productivity, and subcontractor pricing.
Proficiency in industry-standard estimating software such as PlanSwift, Bluebeam, Primavera, HCSS, Sage, or similar.
Strong skills in Excel, cost analysis, and bid leveling.
