Civil Estimation Engineer – MEP (US-Based Experience)

Job Location:Murree Road Rawalpindi

Work Experience: Minimum 1–3 years of experience in MEP estimation for US-based projects

Office Timings:

• Shift 1: 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM
• Shift 2: 6:00 PM – 3:00 AM

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare detailed MEP cost estimates (Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing & Fire Protection) for US-based projects
• Perform quantity take-offs using construction drawings, specifications, and BIM models
• Review RFQs, RFPs, drawings, and specifications to identify scope, risks, and pricing requirements
• Coordinate with vendors and subcontractors to obtain pricing and technical clarifications
• Prepare BOQs, budgets, bid summaries, and engineering proposals
• Analyze labor, material, and equipment costs as per US market standards
• Ensure compliance with US codes and standards (NEC, ASHRAE, IPC, NFPA, etc.)
• Participate in pre-bid meetings, scope reviews, and bid clarifications
• Support project teams during post-award cost control and change order estimation
• Maintain estimation databases, historical cost data, and lessons learned

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil / Mechanical / Electrical Engineering or related field
• Strong experience in MEP estimation for US construction projects
• Proficiency in estimation software such as:
• PlanSwift, Bluebeam, On-Screen Takeoff (OST), Accubid
• Strong knowledge of US construction practices, materials, and labor pricing
• Ability to interpret US drawings, CSI divisions, and specifications
• Advanced skills in Excel and estimation reporting
• Excellent analytical, communication, and coordination skills
• Ability to work independently and meet tight bid deadlines
