As part of our continued growth, we are looking for an experienced Estimation Engineer – Home Automation to join our Smart Automation Solutions division.

The successful candidate will be recruited from the UAE, undergo an initial onboarding and technical training program at our Dubai office, and subsequently relocate to Doha, Qatar, to support our expanding portfolio of smart automation projects.

Role Overview

The Estimation Engineer will be responsible for preparing accurate technical and commercial estimates for Home Automation, ELV, and Smart Building projects. Working closely with the Sales, Design, Procurement, and Project teams, you will analyze project requirements, prepare competitive proposals, and support successful project acquisition across Qatar.

Key Responsibilities

• Review tender documents, drawings, specifications, and client requirements to prepare accurate cost estimates.
• Prepare Bills of Quantities (BOQs), quantity take-offs, and detailed cost breakdowns.
• Estimate systems including:
• Home Automation
• Lighting Control & Smart Lighting
• Home Cinema & Audio-Visual Systems
• Multi-room Audio
• Structured Cabling & Networking
• CCTV
• Access Control
• Video Intercom
• Gate & Barrier Automation
• Wi-Fi & Network Infrastructure
• Obtain and evaluate quotations from suppliers, manufacturers, and technology partners.
• Prepare comprehensive technical and commercial proposals.
• Support the Sales team during client meetings, technical presentations, and tender clarifications.
• Identify value engineering opportunities to optimize project performance and costs.
• Maintain updated pricing databases for materials, labour, and suppliers.
• Coordinate with Design, Procurement, and Project teams to ensure estimate accuracy.
• Track tender submissions and maintain estimation records for reporting and continuous improvement.
• Stay updated with emerging home automation technologies, industry standards, and market trends.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related discipline.
• 2–4 years of experience in estimation for Home Automation, ELV, Building Automation, or Smart Building Solutions.
• Experience estimating residential, hospitality, commercial, or luxury villa projects.
• Strong knowledge of low-current systems, networking, and smart home technologies.
• Experience with one or more of the following platforms is highly desirable:
• KNX
• Control4
• Crestron
• Lutron
• Savant
• RTI
• HDL
• ABB
• Schneider Electric
• or similar automation platforms.
• Ability to read and interpret architectural, electrical, and ELV drawings.
• GCC experience is preferred.
• Candidates must currently be based in the United Arab Emirates and be willing to relocate to Doha, Qatar, after completing their initial training in Dubai.

Pay: AED5,000.00 - AED6,000.00 per month
