ELV Estimation Engineer

Role Summary

The ELV Estimation Engineer supports the sales team by providing technical expertise during the pre-sales cycle for Extra Low Voltage (ELV) systems — including CCTV/surveillance, access control, fire alarm, BMS, structured cabling, PA/public address, and integrated security solutions. The role bridges the gap between client requirements and technical solution design, ensuring proposals are accurate, competitive, and compliant with local codes and standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Understand client requirements through site visits, meetings, and RFP/RFQ documentation
• Design ELV system solutions (BOQ, technical specifications, network/system architecture diagrams)
• Prepare technical proposals, cost estimations, and BOQs in coordination with the sales team
• Respond to tenders and RFPs — including technical compliance sheets and clarifications
• Liaise with OEMs/vendors (e.g., Hikvision, Honeywell, Bosch, Johnson Controls, Milestone, Genetec) for product selection, pricing, and technical support
• Conduct product demonstrations and technical presentations to clients and consultants
• Ensure designs comply with local authority requirements (Civil Defense, TDRA, Etisalat/du, municipality regulations) where applicable
• Support the sales team in technical Q&A during client meetings and tender clarifications
• Coordinate with the project/engineering team for smooth handover post-award
• Stay updated on new ELV technologies, product releases, and competitor offerings
• Maintain relationships with consultants and specifiers to get CivilSoft/vendor products specified into project documents

Pay: AED2,447.69 - AED7,415.03 per month
