Estimator

We are looking for a proactive and independent person for a full time position with our company to support the operations department for purchasing and estimating areas. The candidate will have the chance to work from home so accountability is key. Though must be available to meet with company staff as needed.

- Read and understand blueprints and specs.
- Recording quantities of materials from structural and architectural blueprints
- Preparing a schedule for presentation with the bids.
- Work closely with Construction Managers to build estimates.
- At least 3 years of experience in estimating in construction industry.
- Knowledge of Spanish is a plus.
- Experience with federal contracts is a plus.
-Excellent communication and verbal skills.
- Ability to negotiate with vendors and suppliers.
- Availability to travel in US, PR and/or USVI occasionally if project requires his presence before estimating.
