Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced ELV Estimator to prepare accurate cost estimates, BOQs, and technical submissions for Extra Low Voltage (ELV) systems. The successful candidate will support pre-contract and tender activities by analyzing drawings, specifications, and project scope to ensure competitive, compliant, and profitable bids.

Key ResponsibilitiesEstimation & Costing

  • Study tender documents, drawings, specifications, and scope of work.
  • Prepare detailed cost estimates and BOQs for ELV projects.
  • Perform quantity take-offs for materials, equipment, and accessories.
  • Develop rate analysis, cost breakdowns, and pricing sheets.

ELV Systems Coverage

  • CCTV & Video Surveillance Systems
  • Access Control & Time Attendance
  • Structured Cabling (Data & Voice)
  • SMATV / IPTV Systems
  • Public Address (PA) & Background Music (BGM)
  • Audio-Visual (AV) Systems
  • Intercom & Video Door Phone Systems
  • Gate Barriers & Parking Management Systems
  • Home Automation / BMS (ELV Scope)

Technical & Commercial Support

  • Coordinate with suppliers and subcontractors for competitive pricing.
  • Prepare RFQs and evaluate vendor quotations.
  • Ensure compliance with project specifications, authority standards, and client requirements.
  • Assist in preparing technical and commercial proposals.

Tender Support

  • Participate in pre-bid meetings, site surveys, and client clarifications.
  • Identify scope gaps, exclusions, and assumptions during bid preparation.
  • Support the sales and project teams during tender negotiations.

Post-Tender Support

  • Handover finalized BOQs, costing sheets, and documentation to the project execution team.
  • Assist with value engineering and cost optimization initiatives when required.

Requirements & Qualifications

  • Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical, Electronics, or a relevant Engineering discipline.
  • 3–6 years of UAE experience as an ELV Estimator or similar role.
  • Strong knowledge of ELV systems, materials, and current market rates.
  • Familiarity with consultant and authority standards such as Dubai Police, SIRA, Etisalat, Du, Civil Defense (ELV scope).
  • Proficiency in MS Excel; experience with estimation software/tools is an advantage.
  • Ability to read, interpret, and analyze technical drawings and specifications.
