Estimator for Metal Fabrication

Key Responsibilities:

• Review enquiries, drawings, BOQs, and specifications for metal fabrication projects
• Prepare accurate cost estimates (materials, labor, machining, finishing, installation, subcontracting)
• Analyze project requirements including cutting, bending, welding, finishing (SS, MS, aluminum)
• Prepare competitive pricing aligned with company margins
• Coordinate with production, engineering, and procurement teams for cost validation
• Prepare and submit professional quotations within deadlines
• Handle technical and commercial clarifications with clients
• Revise estimates based on scope changes and feedback
• Maintain proper documentation of estimates, quotations, and revisions
• Support sales team in converting enquiries into confirmed orders

Requirements:

• Proven experience in metal fabrication / stainless steel estimation
• Strong knowledge of materials, fabrication processes, and finishes (laser cutting, bending, welding, polishing, etc.)
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and shop drawings
• Good understanding of costing, margins, and pricing strategies
• Proficiency in AutoCAD (preferred) and MS Excel
• Strong coordination and communication skills
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
