Estimator Intern

We are seeking a motivated Estimator Intern with a background in Printing and Packaging to support our estimation and costing team. The intern will assist in preparing cost estimates, analyzing production requirements, and learning pricing strategies for printing and packaging projects. This role offers hands-on exposure to real-world manufacturing, materials, and cost control processes.

Responsibilities

• Assist in preparing cost estimates for printing and packaging jobs, including materials, labor, machine time, and overheads
• Review job specifications such as artwork, dimensions, substrates, colors, finishing, and quantities
• Support senior estimators in calculating paper/board consumption, ink usage, and wastage
• Collect and update pricing data for raw materials, outsourced processes, and vendor services
• Help compare quotations and analyze cost variations
• Maintain estimation records, worksheets, and databases
• Coordinate with production, procurement, and sales teams for technical clarifications
• Learn and follow company costing standards, workflows, and ERP/estimation software
• Assist in preparing basic reports and summaries for management review

Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Printing Technology, Packaging Technology, Graphic Arts, or a related field
• Fresh graduates or final-year students are encouraged to apply

Required Skills

• Basic understanding of printing and packaging processes (offset, flexo, digital, corrugation, folding cartons, etc.)
• Knowledge of materials such as paper, board, films, inks, and finishing processes
• Strong numerical and analytical skills
• Proficiency in MS Excel and basic computer applications
• Good attention to detail and accuracy
• Willingness to learn and take guidance from senior team members
• Effective communication and teamwork skills

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: Rs25,000.00 - Rs30,000.00 per month
