Events Manager, Middle East

Reporting to the CNCC Director (Condé Nast Commercial Creative Director), the Events Manager will be responsible for creating and executing targeted, strategic events; spearheading details from initial concept to production and post-event wrap up, across all our business.

The Events Manager will oversee the entire event lifecycle – from content and creative development to establishing media partnerships, coordinating email and social media outreach, and reporting. They will also adapt strategies to optimize event outcomes in a fast-paced environment. This person will also be responsible for activations, coverage and all subsequent deliverables for all associated event sponsors. This individual will also be responsible for managing external events production companies, including pitch submissions, if required.


We are looking for a highly motivated, focused and creative candidate; with extensive event experience producing tentpole and custom events. Someone that thrives under pressure and works well independently while serving as an integral member of a team.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Plan and execute a range of events on behalf of the commercial teams including summits, private dinners, cocktail parties, VIP events, live event coverage and other formats
  • Manage all aspects of event production to include concept ideation, vendor selection, logistics, and execution.
  • Act as the liaison between the publishing and editorial departments regarding tentpole and custom events.
  • Manage and negotiate program budgets and timelines.
  • Contribute to brainstorming and idea generation for prospective sponsors and advertisers.
  • Contract and manage external vendors.
  • Assist in creative and pitch development for custom and tentpole events
  • Manage photo and video briefs to generate top of the line content around brand events
  • Manage all commercial event activations including live coverage of brand partners events


SKILLS & REQUIREMENTS


  • 7+ years of experience in event operations and planning; with a background in experiential/event marketing, or other highly relevant field.
  • Strong knowledge of event production, creative ideation, and contract negotiations.
  • Good understanding of the overall media landscape, digital, print and social media platforms.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize responsibilities, work under pressure in a fast-paced environment, and interact with a wide range of people.
  • Highly organized with great attention to detail.
  • Excellent project management, creative and organizational abilities, with strong interpersonal, communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Comfortable with budgeting and sales reporting.
  • Ability to work independently and within a team setting.
  • Team player with a ‘client service’ orientation, and experience managing local vendors.
  • Ability to travel as and when required for events purposes, including venue scouting, offshore production, etc..
  • Experienced with G Suite, Excel, Keynote, PowerPoint
  • Written and spoken Arabic is a plus.
  • Local market experience is a plus.
