Job Description:
Invest Northern Ireland is seeking to appoint an Event Manager to support its International Investment and Trade Teams across the Americas.
The Event Manager, as part of our Americas Operations Team, assists in playing a strategic role in driving business and economic development through impactful events and activities. This position oversees the entire event lifecycle—from concept development to flawless execution—ensuring every initiative aligns with organizational objectives and delivers measurable value. The role demands exceptional organizational and networking skills and the ability to build and maintain strong relationships with vendors, partners, and stakeholders. With a focus on budget management and operational excellence, the Event Manager will lead planning efforts, negotiate contracts, and manage resources to achieve cost-effective outcomes. Acting as a key liaison between internal teams and external partners, this individual will create high-quality experiences that strengthen Invest Northern Ireland’s presence and foster meaningful connections across the Americas region.
Event Managers must have excellent time and project management skills, strong communication abilities, attention to detail, and a deep understanding of event logistics. They often serve as the primary point of contact for internal and external clients, making relationship management a critical component of their role

Key Responsibilities
Design and deliver events that support business and economic development goals.
Oversee the entire event planning process (plans and timelines), from conception to execution and post evaluations
Build and maintain strong relationships with vendors, partners, and stakeholders.
Negotiate contracts and ensure quality service delivery.
Develop and manage event budgets in line with annual forecasts.
Monitor expenses and ensure financial compliance.
Maintain accurate records and implement efficient electronic filing systems.
Work closely with internal teams to align event objectives with organizational priorities.
Leverage Microsoft Office Suite and SharePoint for planning, collaboration, and documentation.
Qualifications & Experience
Bachelor’s degree in marketing, Business Administration, Event Management, or related field.
Minimum 3 years of experience in event management, marketing activities, or business development events.
Demonstrated ability in budgeting, cost control with proven track record of managing large-scale events and budgets.
Strong negotiation and vendor management skills.
Excellent organizational and communication abilities.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Products (Word, Excel, SharePoint, Co-Pilot and able to create tables and work pivot tables for data analysis and reporting)
Ability to travel up to 25% across the Americas region.
Salary Range
$69,000–$80,000 per year salary, (geographic area dependant) plus benefits and remote work flexibility.
