Job Summary

SMA Engineering & Services (Pvt.) Ltd. is looking for a highly skilled and experienced Executive Accountant to join our finance team. The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in financial reporting, taxation, budgeting, payroll, and overall accounting operations. The candidate must be capable of managing day-to-day financial activities while ensuring compliance with accounting standards and statutory regulations.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare, review, and analyze financial statements and management reports.
• Maintain the general ledger, journal entries, and account reconciliations.
• Manage accounts payable, accounts receivable, and bank reconciliations.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
• Handle sales tax, income tax, withholding tax, and other statutory compliance.
• Process payroll and maintain payroll records.
• Monitor cash flow, budgets, and financial forecasting.
• Coordinate with auditors during internal and external audits.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and applicable accounting standards.
• Identify opportunities to improve financial processes and internal controls.
• Support management with financial analysis and business decision-making.

Qualifications

• M.com or MBA Finance or Equivalent

Experience

• Minimum 5 years of relevant accounting experience after qualification.
• Experience in construction, engineering, or project-based organizations will be preferred.

Required Skills

• Strong command of accounting principles and financial reporting.
• Sound knowledge of Income Tax, Sales Tax, and payroll processing.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (ERP experience will be an advantage).
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and meet strict deadlines.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
